Acklam RUFC

The Acklam RUFC AGM will be held on Thursday 1^st May 2025 at 8:00pm.

In accordance with the club constitution, the outgoing Committee seek nominations from the club membership, for the following positions on the Management Committee:

• President (nominated by outgoing committee)
• Chairman*
• Vice Chairman*
• Honorary Secretary*
• Honorary Treasurer*
• Age Grade Lead*
• House Sub-Committee Chairman
• Club Captain
• Men’s Rugby Lead
• Women’s Rugby Lead

*These roles will also be Company Directors of Acklam Rugby Club Limited

Nominations are also requested for the following:

• Men’s 1^st XV Vice Captain
• Men’s 2^nd XV Captain & Vice Captain
• Women’s Captain & Vice Captain

Nomination sheets have been posted in the club bar, on the wall near the big projection screen along with role descriptions where appropriate.

For full members who are unable to attend the AGM, proxy votes may be sent via email to the Honorary Secretary (secretary@acklamrugbyclub.co.uk) using the Proxy Voting Form, available by request at the same email address.  Such proxies must be received by the Honorary Secretary no later than noon on Wednesday 30^th April to be considered and must provide the rights, either to another full member (who must be in attendance) or the Honorary Secretary, to vote how they see fit.

To be considered for office, propose, second or indeed vote on proceedings you must be a ‘full’ member of Acklam Rugby Club for the 2024/25 season.  For the avoidance of doubt, social, associate and age grade membership categories are not full memberships and do not carry voting rights.

Resolutions:

• Acceptance of minutes from 2024 AGM.
• Submission of Accounts to 31^st March 2025 (draft only).
• Chairman’s review of the 2024/25 season.
• Proposal that the constitution be amended with immediate effect such that members of the Management Committee may not be in the direct employment of the Club.
• Election of Directors, President, Management Committee Members, and adult Captains & Vice Captains for the 2024/25 season.
