Key points to share from the Management Committee meeting held on Wednesday 17th July 2024:
Compliance
- The new process for Adult Registration went live on Monday 15th July. Players are requested to register for the 2024/25 season as soon as possible so that Coaches and Captains can plan for the new season. If you are struggling with the new system please contact Darren Springhall, who will try to help.
- Memberships for the 2024/25 season are available to purchase via your GMS account and links to the memberships are available on the 'NEW' club website.
- NOTE: Anyone wanting to play rugby must have a valid registration and a current club membership of the appropriate type!
Membership fees and rules/restrictions may be found HERE.
Rugby
- The senior players are back in preseason training and seem to be enjoying Jamie's (Head Coach) brand of training and play.
- The Men's 1st XV and Women's 1st XV fixtures are available to view on the team pages of the 'NEW' website. We hope to have the Men's Development XV fixtures available on the same platform soon, but they have been shared on social media.
- Similary the age grade teams are also back and enjoying preseason.
People & Facilities
- Work to complete the new outside bar facility is moving at pace. The area is being leveled and the container has already arrived on site.
- Only a couple of weeks behind in terms of progress, the new outside gym and conditioning development has broken ground and we hope to have the concrete pad in place shortly to allow delivery of the two full sized containers.
- A team is being put together to plan events for the club's 50th season (2025/26). We will have events throughout the season culminating in the 50th Anniversary Dinner, where we hope to have entertainment and a guest speaker. Anyone wanting to get involved in the planning should contact Mike Illingworth.
Finance
- The new financial year has just started so there is nothing to highlight at present.
- The 100 Club Draw will move to a new payment provider when we close down the old website. The new website does allow for regular payments but these will be monthly rather than weekly. For those who already have a number we will be contacting you shortly to inform you how we intend to move payments to the new system. For anyone who would like to buy a number in the draw, you can do so by following the link on the membership page of the 'NEW' website. This will however require sign up to the RFU GMS platform, if you don't already have an account. When making a payment please ensure that you select the Direct Debit option.
