Key points to share from the Management Committee meeting held on Wednesday 9th October 2024:

Compliance

• Despite the change in registration process for the 2024/25 season registration has gone well with 69 Men, 24 Women and 110 Age Grade players confirmed.
• Similarly, we are in a great position with memberships, 61 Men, 24 Women and 97 Age Grade memberships purchased.

NB. Those players who have not yet purchased a membership will be contacted by their Captains or Coaches.

Rugby

• Senior training is going well with good numbers for both men and women.
• Acklam coaches have been providing rugby sessions at some of the local primary schools in recent weeks.  Hopefully this will result in more young players entering the game.

People & Facilities

• The outside Bar and Gym developments are approaching completion with the former hopefully available for use on bonfire night.

Finance

• The committee continues to work to secure grants for funding in specific areas and recently secured funding towards the gym equipment. A further application has been made to help with the flooring in the gym.
• The club finances are in a healthy state with increased revenues from the bar, memberships and sponsorship.
